David and Deborah Ross establish endowment for North Central PA LaunchBox

DuBOIS, Pa. — Longtime campus supporters David and Deborah Ross have established a new endowment that will support efforts of the North Central PA LaunchBox powered by Penn State DuBois. The Dr. David S. and Deborah M. Ross LaunchBox Endowment at Penn State DuBois was established with the couple’s initial $100,000 pledge. Courses at NCPA LaunchBox to help public ‘Excel’ in business

DuBOIS, Pa - Penn State DuBois Continuing and Community Education will offer two courses at the North Central PA LaunchBox in August to help explore the ways Microsoft Excel can be used to manage business. Basic and Intermediate Excel courses are both available. Basic Excel is a workshop that will include an overview of Excel 2016, worksheet basics, cell basics, use of short cut keys, how to use “Help”, basic formatting, and getting started with formulas. Clearfield County awards $880,000 in CHIRP Funding with help from NCPA LaunchBox

DUBOIS, Pa. — The North Central PA LaunchBox Powered by Penn State DuBois partnered with Clearfield County Commissioners recently to process applications for the COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Recovery Program (CHIRP). Authorized and allocated by the state, Clearfield County distributed a total of $880,000 in grants to 31 businesses. A remaining $13,000 in LaunchBox administrative fees have been donated back and will be awarded as mini grants for businesses in need. CHIRP funds were available to hospitality-related businesses such as hotels and restaurants that demonstrated at least a 25% reduction in gross sales for any quarter in 2020 relative to 2019,...
